...and you see, this kind of quality entry is exactly why Wikipedia can be so good. Take note, people who add entries on small town pizza restaurants with the tag "restaurant". We want to know about it, people!

  • Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, blockhouse (guest) wrote 17 years ago:
It's known in some circles as "Our Lady of the Yellow Armadillo" because of its exterior appearance.

Isn't that an oxymoron? A "public" stairway that is not open to the "public"? :-)

Our 2 dogs (Mini Dachshunds) despise this park... too many Cruisin' Dudes (SIlverlaken "Scoobie Doo" types) cruisin' for Chicks with their ill trained mutts with attitude. But the Dog Park is Recreation Area adjacent is quite lovely.

  • Chartwell Mansion (Beverly Hillbillies Mansion), KirkebyMansionFan (guest) wrote 17 years ago:
The Perenchio house is the former Kirkeby mansion. The Perenchios bought in the 1980s and have remodeled it extensively. The main entrance was relocated to 875 Nimes, but it was 750 Bel-Air Road until then. The Perenchios even did a book about their "new" house — a book titled, simply, "875 Nimes." So everyone is correct: This is the famous "Beverly Hillbillies" house AND the Perenchio house. An even better way to see it is via the (rather odd) Jerry Lewis movie "Cinderfella." Almost the whole film is set at the house, with extensive scenes of the real exteriors and real interiors, of course mixed with fantastical Hollywood sets.
