  • John Sowden House (aka Jaws House), coozemonster wrote 13 years ago:
The home was inhabited in the 1940's by Dr. George Hodel, a longtime suspect in the Black Dahlia murder. Dr. Hodel was connected to quite an eccentric and artistic social circle himself. This house is just as valuable and storied for the number of characters who have inhabited and visited it as for its designer and architectural style. If the walls of this place could talk...

I was born at the county general hospital year 1951- I grew up in the william mead projects in the early 1950's till 1971. The people that were lived there at that time were hard working people. Mostley they all came from the south, they were part of a migration, mostley blacks mexican and a few native americans. Some were leaveing the south because jim crow was alive and well, The native americans were promise good jobs and such, but the bottom line was that the goverment wanted to take more of our land.I remember the 1968 or 1969 watt riots, And the only high building was city hall. There is lots of history in this area of los angeles. I can go on forever.

  • Sunset Gower Studios, Tom (guest) wrote 13 years ago:
From new information I found, it would appear that "I Dream of Jeannie" was shot on stage 8 right next to stage 4, the "Bewitched set. In fact, both shows used many of the same props and sets (including rooms) interchangably, with some slight differences. Likewise, some of the ideas from many episodes of both shows appear to have been borrowed from one another. One can check out the website called Bewitched@HarpiesBazzar.com. I believe it is, for further detailed information on this particular subject.
