Milton Berle never lived in this house. This is an error. My parents lived in the house that backs up to it.

I spent 2 weeks at Queen of Angels in June 1950 with a ruptured abscessed appendix (was 16 at the time) and the Chief of Surgery performed the operation. Had special nurses and they all took very good care of me. I am blessed to still be here.

You can google map the coordinates and see which "homes" are on site. The entire setting for Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, the Munsters, and Leave it to Beaver are there. The Psycho house is still on property as well as the beach area from Jaws.

  • Rocketdyne site, Chatsworth Native (guest) wrote 11 years ago:
This is the former site of the Canoga plant/facility originally built by North American Aviation (Rocketdyne Division); later acquired via mergers by Rockwell and Boeing. It remained Rocketdyne's headquarters through those mergers, until 2014. The original NAA parcel included the Best Buy land, Westfield Topanga, and what is now the MTA Orange Line parking lot.

  • Adohr Farms Dairy, Evan Olins (guest) wrote 11 years ago:
Adohr Dairy had an office, a processing plant and delivery station on La Cienega and Sawyer. It ran West to Holt Ave. During the war years tires and gasoline were rationed so delivery was by horse drawn wagon. I lived a few houses from the stables. We would visit the horses after their work was finished. We could run around in the processing plant and watch how everything was done. Best of all was a large baseball field with bleachers. No little league existed in our neighborhood, if at all, and we played baseball at the Adohr field. Again, no one ever confronted us or asked us to leave. Ahh for the good old days without personal injury lawsuits.
