Named in honor of JD Morgan (http://www.english.ucla.edu/ucla1960s/6667/aJDmorgan.htm), the late athletic director at UCLA, the Morgan Center now houses the administrative offices for all intercollegiate sports, including the offices of the head coaches for football and basketball. It also houses the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame and sports memorabilia museum. On this site before the Morgan Center was built sat MAC-B, the Memorial Activities Center, which also housed the coaches' offices and most of the athletic department. Additionally it housed several raquetball courts and the wrestling room, which was often used by the fencing team after wrestling ceased being funded as a varsity sport.

I made a mistake to hide the first comments.
This company I was working for and which terminated me without good cause or reason.
This job was my only chance to get back on my feet. I will never jeopardize my job. This job was 2 blocks from where I live. I do not have a car now, so it was the dream job for me.
I have no money. I am totally broke. I have no family left. I am by myself.
I was working for the Tarzana Treatment Centers in Tarzana since November 29, 2006 and I was terminated March 29, 2007.
I was doing a great job and I know that I have been wrongfully terminated.
I asked many times to be trained about Corporate Compliance and Licenses.
Every time I was told they are too busy.
I have been the only one to have these two major responsibilities.
For 3 months I heard from the IT Director that my performance was very good and that he was very happy with my job performance and my qualifications.
Why after these 3 months did this Director change his mind about me? Below is the clarification.
I believe and I am certain that my termination Thursday March 29 is related to the complaint I made to the HR Director on Friday March 9 about his attitude regarding my French accent. This Director and couple other, were making some bad jokes about me. I was very uncomfortable and embarrassed. I felt I was being discriminated against. I believe this Director became angry that I filed this complaint with HR. I believe he took action to terminate me on the pretense that my job performance was not good but that this termination was in fact, related to the complaint I made against him 10 days before.
I have also talked with one of my co-worker. I don't want for him to be in a trouble because he told me if they find out what he told me they will terminate him too.
He told me that Tarzana Treatment Centers terminate people very easy. They terminate people all the time whenever they make a complaint against one of the supervisors or directors.
I think it's unacceptable that Tarzana Treatment Centers use false reasons to terminate their employees.
In the employee's handbook, it says that employees have the right to file complaints against their supervisors and/or directors.
I remember that this Director told me one day that the employee's handbook was just a piece of paper and was not important.
This company is very hypocritical. Everything in this company is power.
They refuse to train people. How do they want for the employees to perform a good job with no training?
In my work experience I always have had very good references from my former employers. Everywhere I go I have a good reputation and I am always remembered as an excellent and outstanding employee.
I have decided I will pursue legal action against Tarzana Treatment Centers for wrongful termination.
I think most of the employees have difficulties working at TTC because of directors' and supervisors' attitude. Through their bad policies and rules, they are driving everybody crazy with these rules and regulations.
I have never lied to anybody. What this Director asked my supervisor, to tell the COO about my job performance is lie.
They also terminated me after I asked my supervisor if the responsibility for Corporate Compliance could go to someone else who knows how handle it.
I asked the HR Director if she can ask someone to train me on the Corporate Compliance because he is maybe the best. I was continually refused to have this opportunity to learn to be able to perform properly.
If they think that my job performance was poor when working at TTC, they are responsible because they have refused since the beginning to allow me the opportunity to do my job well.
And I was doing a very good job anyway.
Regarding the licenses and registration no one ever showed me or helped me to do it.
I already renewed many licenses and certifications for all the facilities.
In the meantime it has been brought to my attention that before me, there have been many different people at this same position.
I have been asked to train one of my co-worker on the license and registration processes.
I find this funny, when the false pretense for my termination was that I was not good with licenses and registration. I was the only one to perform this job and I was the only one able to train my co-worker, so it's funny when we consider that I was terminated for this pretense. How can TTC ask me to train someone if they think I am not good at it?
So this is where the lies come through. I was so good I was assigned the duty to train someone else.
They have to learn how to treat people; they have to learn how to provide their employees training and consideration.
I respect people. I want to be respected. In this company, the employees are treated if they were nothing. Directors and supervisors always want show us that we are nothing and so small.
It's unacceptable.
I will not recommend this company to anyone.

A former part of Playa del Rey, the area is now managed by the Airport Authority, and is primarily used as a butterfly and wildlife sanctuary.
Fortunately, it has been over 30 years since the smart, hardworking and civic minded leadership of the Airport Authority wisely used eminent domain to 1) pay fair market prices for the properties 2) relocated the displaced residents 3) deconstruct the vacant and hazardous buildings 4) create the wildlife sanctuary. But all of this misses the point - Having Homes BENEATH the RUNWAYS is just plain foolish! When - not "if", when - a very large, heavy, fully-fuel airplane crashes, it is a very bad idea to your home located in the area where the plane is likely to crash.

San Pedro is a treasure-trove of history and culture. One of the most historically significant and beautiful places yet to truly be discovered on the California coast. Come and stand at the cliffs of Paseo Del Mar and watch the crashing waves, hear the seagulls and seals below while you observe the yearly whale migration all in view of an incredible sunset with Catalina Island as your back drop. And that’s not even close to the best parts of this incredible town. Does that sound like a ghetto to you? Come and see for yourself!
