    I resided with my parents on the corner of Lindley Ave. and Calvert St. ifrom 1948 to 1952 and I used to regularly "sneak" on to the grounds of Ford's place which was just down the street, and wonder at all the revelry that went on there. There was an old gentlemen who lived across the street , name of Chives, He was a retired cowboy and B Cowboy motion picture extra, and he was one of the most impacting influences on my entire life. I sure would like to hook up with his kin and tell them about him and thank them too for their G. Grand pa or maybe older. Mr. Chives and his stories still remain one of the highlights of my youth.

    I was in that house in late 1970. There was a 1956 Cadillac under the Portico where a side door opened to a living room with the oldest tv i'd ever seen. The place was furnished, but hadn't been lived in for a while. Depp has had a lot of work done, the only trees back then were some aging palms. And the front of the mansion is facing sunset Blvd. The original entrance is long gone but there are pics on the web. I'd like to see some interior shots if anyone has some, I think the mansion is a lot bigger now.
