I remember when they were building all of this, I saw Fantasia 2000 at the temporary Imax theater Disney built here so that they would not have to use the regular Imax (the original one) at Exposition Park.

  • Location of Tom Ince's glass stage, JTin310 (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
This is the site of one the first, if not the first, silent stages on the lot back when it was Triangle Motion Picture Company. The entire building was built like a greenhouse to allow light in to film. Set into and level with the concrete floor, every foot were 4" x 4" posts to allow the sets to be nailed into them. As of December 2007, the building had been torn down.

Once the Culver Movie Theater (I saw films there as a child), it was closed for a number of years before reopening as the Kirk Douglas Thearer.

  • Eldred Street (steepest street in Los Angeles), creepfactor (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
Until last year I lived a couple doors away from the top of the stairs that were the uppermost portion of Eldred. The locals called it "El Dread" and with good reason. Great workout in less that 1/2 hour's time!

Those aren't dinosaure, it's a depiction of the L.A area near the La Brea Tar pits and they are mammals. I've been going to this museum every year for nearly 30 years now and I know it pretty well, I love this place so.
